Akana SOLA: Exposing a DB2 stored procedure as an API

Akana SOLA is a powerful, complete proven tool that makes it easy to expose mainframe artifacts such as programs and data as fully governance secure APIs, or it can enable those mainframe artifacts to easily access external APIs.

In this video, we’ll show how easy it is to use SOLA to take a DB2 stored procedure and expose that as an API. DB2 stored procedures can be written in Cobalt or native SQL, but as far as SOLA is concerned it doesn’t matter there’s no different technique based on the store procedure. In this example, we use native SQL.
