What's New: HostAccess 7.40h

HostAccess 7.40h is a new maintenance release which includes bug fixes as well as the following new features and enhancements:

  • Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Support: HostAccess 7.40h is now supported on the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 platforms.
  • Per-session TCP/IP keepalive configuration: HostAccess 7.40h now supports TCP/IP keepalive message configuration on a per-session basis.
  • New macro function – PASSKEYSNOCR: The new macro function suspends macro processing until the Enter key is pressed but does not send the associated Carriage Return to the host.
  • Extended AiF Sequence – Change Print Device: The Change Print Device AiF sequence has been extended to provide a means of resetting the printer type back to the Windows Print Manager.

What's New: HostAccess 7.40g

HostAccess 7.40g is a new maintenance release which includes bug fixes as well as the following new features and enhancements:

  • Support for IPv6: HostAccess 7.40g now supports connectivity to IPv6 enabled hosts when using Windows Sockets, Secure Shell (SSH), Secure Sockets (SSL), U2 Sockets, U2 Sockets over Secure Shell (SSH) and U2 Sockets over Secure Sockets (SSL) network protocols.
  • URL Hotspots: The Hotspot feature has been extended to allow for the selection of URL text displayed in the Terminal Window. HostAccess now has the ability to initiate the associated URL handler (www, http, https, ftp, mailto).
  • Updated OpenSSL Libraries: The OpenSSL libraries have been upgraded to version 0.9.7m on the Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT4.0 platforms. Windows 2000 and above have been upgraded to OpenSSL version 0.9.8k.

HostAccess 7.40f is a maintenance release that improves existing features and fixes the following problems:

  • Macro Recorder creates a macro with incorrect 'wait timeout' values

What's New: HostAccess 7.40e

HostAccess 7.40e is a maintenance release that improves existing features and fixes the following problems:

  • SSH Auto-Login does not automatically enter the password
  • HostAccess Shell Extension does not show Secure Shell (SSH) or Secure Sockets (SSL) network stacks
  • Networks lose configuration parameters when selecting Configure->Session
  • MSM.EXE is not being updated during an upgrade installation
  • Installation fails during the LicenseProduct() function - with no error message/number
  • License Manager failing to license HostAccess when using valid codes
  • Workstation installation fails with error 'unable to register MSM.EXE
  • Secure Shell (SSH) does not appear in the list of networks after an upgrade
  • Installation command line examples contain non-standard quotes

What's New: HostAccess 7.40d

HostAccess 7.40d is a new maintenance release which corrects several previously known bugs and includes the following new features and enhancements:

  • Windows Server 2008 Support: Now supported when running on Windows Server 2008 x86 and x64 Editions (see Windows x64 Edition Support for more information).
  • U2 Sockets Device Licensing over Secure Shell (SSH) Support: Now supports U2 Sockets Device Licensing over a Secure Shell (SSH) connection. HostAccess is now available with or without U2 Sockets Device Licensing support.
  • Windows x64 Edition Support: Now supports Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions, Windows Vista Business, Enterprise and Ultimate x64 Editions and Windows Server 2008 x64 Editions.
