SafeMed Adds SOA Framework, Rogue Wave Hydra, to its Healthcare Decision Support System

Rogue Wave Hydra to Increase Throughput and Scalability of nDPharma Product Line

BOULDER, Colo., July 19, 2006 — Rogue Wave Software, a division of Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq: QVDX) providing reusable software components and services that facilitate enterprise-class application development, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with SafeMed, a developer of intelligent, multi-dimensional point-of-care decision support systems. Under the terms of the agreement, SafeMed will embed the Rogue Wave® HydraAgent Runtime, the core component of the Rogue Wave® Hydra Suite for SOA development, into its nDPharma product suite.

Using HydraAgent, SafeMed will offer its clients increased throughput and scalability to meet increasing demands from healthcare providers for SafeMed's Internet-based healthcare decision support applications. As a result of the product expansion, SafeMed will be better equipped to support large healthcare providers and regional health information networks (RHINs) that include a large number of more complex clinician requests.

Further, the HydraAgent allowed for the implementation of SafeMed's clinical decision support products based on open standards on Linux, Solaris or Windows, and enabled a rich client on a .Net browser and other SOA architectures.
