Abstract: Scientists and engineers from different domains are turning to simulation in high-end supercomputers due to their ever increasing capabilities, thus helping them to understand physical phenomena. However, that means that in addition to understanding the complex phenomena studied, scientist and engineers have to understand the intricacies of modern HPC systems.
