Chief Executive Officer
Brian Pierce is Chief Executive Officer of Rogue Wave Software and brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the software and technology industry with a focus on maximizing customer value and total customer satisfaction. Most recently, Brian served as a Senior Vice President at Infor Global Solutions where he had responsibility for five independently operating business units including TriSyn Group, which merged with Infor in 2006. Prior to the merger, Brian served as President and Chief Operating Officer of TriSyn Group helping to increase total revenue by 40% over three years. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Customer Support and Satisfaction at TIBCO Software, Inc. and Vice President of Field Operations at InConcert (acquired by TIBCO). Brian started his career at Xerox where he spent 10 years in various field technical and sales positions.
Chief Financial Officer
Steve McGee is an experienced financial executive and has worked with both Fortune 500 and emerging technology companies, as well as Big 6 public accounting firms. During his 20-year career, Steve has been directly involved with over $100 million of public and private debt and equity financing transactions. Prior to joining Rogue Wave Software, Steve held CFO positions at three venture capital and private equity backed emerging technology companies. His expertise includes all areas of corporate financial and strategic planning, managing debt and liquidity, strategic tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, establishing sound financial controls, IT, HR, and ERP systems. Mr. McGee is a CPA and received a BA in Economics from the University of Texas.
Senior Vice President of Sales
Tom Gaunt manages Rogue Wave Software's worldwide sales organization and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the company's strategic business partners. Tom joined Rogue Wave Software in 2001 with more than 20 years sales and business development experience. Previously, he was Vice President of Business Development for Netpliance and served in a sales director role at Borland Software Corporation. Mr. Gaunt also founded several high tech start-up companies. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Computer Science.
Vice President, Sales EMEA
Mike Bundred has been with Rogue Wave Software since February 1997 and served as Sales Director for the UK operation until September 2001 when he was promoted to Northern European Sales Director. In October 2002, Mike was appointed Vice President of Sales for EMEA and is responsible for managing the company's sales and business activities throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mike has more than 20 years of sales and business development experience and has held senior sales and marketing positions with Tektronix, Lockheed Sanders and Metheus Corporation. He graduated from the University of Surrey with a First Class Honors degree in Engineering.
Vice President, Technical Sales Worldwide
Scott Lasica manages Rogue Wave Software's worldwide technical sales organization and is responsible for ensuring that the company's customers have successful technical understanding of its products. Scott joined Rogue Wave Software in 2001, bringing a broad range of experience in software technology and its use in vertical industries. Before joining Rogue Wave Software, Scott created conferencing applications and functionality as a technical lead at Raindance Communications. Prior to that, Scott worked on several NASA funded interplanetary spacecraft missions, developing software for trajectory calculation and data visualization of which many results were published. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Vice President, Product Strategy & Marketing
Patrick Leonard is responsible for development of all Rogue Wave® products. To this role, Patrick brings a broad range of software and technology industry experience including software design and development, product management, international markets, public policy, professional services and product marketing. He also serves as a company representative to government organizations. Before joining Rogue Wave Software, Patrick created new e-business and distributed enterprise application products for J.D. Edwards (now part of Oracle). Prior to that, he designed and built custom enterprise systems for Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). Patrick received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and international business from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Vice President, Research and Development
Mark Jones brings 20 years of experience engineering solutions to take advantage of business opportunities as an entrepreneur, executive and architect. Mark is responsible for producing the products Rogue Wave customers need to take advantage of their opportunities, and for creating the infrastructure Rogue Wave needs for an agile business. Mark's experience as both a business consumer and a provider of technology brings business interest into product development. Mark has successfully integrated technology and organizations in support of M&A activity at Bay Bank, Bank of Boston, Inso Software and several start-ups. Mark has been designing and delivering distributed computing applications and infrastructures since 1996. From his experience in architecture and consulting, Mark brings a focus on business value to software research and development for Rogue Wave.
Vice President of Engineering/CTO
Sean FitzGerald is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategy and vision for the IMSL Libraries, PV-WAVE Family and PyIMSL Studio. Sean's business development and technology experience spans more than 20 years in areas of healthcare, education, geophysics, power engineering, network design, systems integration, and consulting. Prior to joining Visual Numerics, Sean was the Vice President of Product Development at the Masters Institute. Sean holds numerous technology certifications in addition to a B.S. in systems administration and a M.B.A. in IT Management.
Vice President of Corporate Services
Michael is responsible for managing and directing activities in Visual Numerics operations. Prior to joining Visual Numerics, Michael worked at Commonwealth Savings Association as the Assistant Vice President in Human Resources Administration. His professional experience includes recognition as Management MVP in 1999, various officer level positions for the Houston Compensation Association and CCP from the American Compensation Association. Michael holds his B.S. in Business Technology from the University of Houston.
